Women in Longview Day is a half-day program of events designed to provide women of Longview with opportunities to learn from each other. Each year, the event attracts more than 400 participants of diverse ages, backgrounds and interests. Many are career women in various fields as well as homemakers or retired women. Men are welcome to come to this event to view the exhibits, enjoy the lunch and support the women in their lives.
This year the WILD theme is "Writing Women Back into History." The keynote speaker will be local historian and columnist Van Craddock. Throughout the day there will be seminars, exhibits, and an informal style show. Each year WILD presents women with scholarships and prizes. (courtesy of www.artemisinthecity.com)
